A user’s violation of policies may be evaluated on a strike system, with three strikes enabling suspension and banning from the site. There are many different reasons why YouTube may ban a user from its site, some of which have been listed below.

Did AdSense/YouTube ban your account?
AdSense insider reveals a little-known technique on how to get your banned account back online - and how you can easily and safely open new YouTube/AdSense account.

  1. Eliciting fake video views

It has become a fairly common marketing strategy for users to invest money into obtaining more likes and views for their video. However, such a practice is considered unethical under YouTube’s guidelines, and is definite grounds for a suspension or banning of an account. Such users attempt to garner artificial likes or views to bump the popularity of their videos, sometimes using fake accounts or view bots to do so. Many times, YouTube is able to detect this suspicious activity, especially if the user is enabling a view bot to gather millions of views in a short period of time.

  1. Uploading copyrighted content

YouTube strictly enforces the uploading of copyrighted content to the site. When cracking down on copyrighted content, YouTube scans its vast library archive of uploaded content in order to see if any video contents that have been uploaded match any copyrighted content. This can result in YouTube flagging a video if such a match occurs. Copyrighted content that users often upload includes music tracks, parts of copyrighted programs, videos made by other users, and videos uploaded without permission.

  1. Spam comments or videos

Spam found on YouTube can be described as “misleading descriptions, tags, titles, or thumbnails used to increase video views.” This type of behavior violates YouTube’s policies, as well as posting significant amounts of unwanted, repetitive content either in the form of videos or video comments. Much of this spam includes spam from bots, people trying to sell their products online, and abusive or trolling comments on videos or within private messages. Users are able to flag comments for spam, which enables YouTube to review these comments once they have been flagged enough times.

  1. Nudity and sexual content

For obvious reasons, YouTube does not allow pornographic or sexually explicit content in the videos that are uploaded. The only exceptions may be for videos intended for documentary, educational, scientific, or artistic purposes only. Otherwise, videos intended to be sexually provocative are deemed inappropriate for the site and consequently removed. Users who fail to follow these policies by posting inappropriate or sexually explicit content will have their video taken down and their accounts terminated.

I think you should now that the amount of revenue share you get from your videos are calculated based on the number of clicks you get from ads that appear on your videos, so some people think that it makes sense to increase their revenues by clicking their own ads. This is just silly, if you really think that you can fool YouTube that way then you need to get your head checked. Just avoid making this stupid mistake, because you will get caught for sure.
